ECLIPSE compatibility library

Edge ECLIPSE logoIn 2007, Edge Associates were accepted as members of the Netezza Developers Network (NDN), and are now actively developing streaming analytic applications using an in-house Netezza SPUBox.

In February 2008 Netezza and Edge announced ECLIPSE - the Edge Compatibility Library In Performance Server Environments - read the data sheet here. This is a growing library of extended SQL functions which simplify the migration of existing SQL queries to the Netezza platform by emulating proprietary functions from other databases such as Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server.

Edge Associates are currently offering some early examples of these functions under a free right-to-use licence - this includes Oracle and SQL Server functions such as LEAST, GREATEST, LEFT, RIGHT and REPLACE and DB2 style date functions including MIDNIGHT_SECONDS, DAY, MONTH and YEAR. To register for this offer or to get more information, please complete and submit the form below. If you'd like to help us prioritise our development of the library by suggesting functions to be included, please also use this form.
